San Rafael, South Desert Bighorn Tag

Just drew the tag. Has anyone hunted this area? What caliber of Ram is out there??

150 class Ram is sort of a nice one. 160 down there would be huge.

To my knowledge, there has never been a 160 ram taken on that unit. Perhaps you could be the first. It has a fair amount of sheep though and you should have a blast. While I have never hunted that unit, you should be able to find a 150ish ram, especially later in the season. It is a once in a lifetime tag, so make the best of it. If you don't know sheep, you may even want to consider a guide. Good luck!
