Bess, yep, we used to do that with my handmade jigs. Catch our fish then tie my jigs on all our poles for show at the launch. My jigs worked, they caught fish... and people.
Zeke, Thanks! I had a passion for collecting old lures, spent a lot of my disposable income by purchasing them where i could find them. I had a guy come by last year, he was a picker, he took $900. worth home with him. He got some good stuff but nothing near what i still have. I love the old lures and i think i love the old boxes that the lures came in back then, even more. Sadly, vintage lures have gone down the Tank for a few years now. A good boxed combo that i might have paid $50. for, might now only bring $30. at auction. I still love my stuff but my thoughts were to make a bit of money investing on it while i got to play with the goods.
Nice Creek Chub in box
A Nice display that wouldn't cost too much to put together.
Another type of display, low end collectables here but still a nice display.
Misc boxed stuff, low end, still, stuff i like and have lots of.
These are earlier Heddon Lures. I have some of these but these are mostly higher end Baits, some costing hundreds of dollars. If you find a old tackle box full of these, you got something...
A guy can spend $5.00 for a boxed set or $5000. but they are all fun!
