VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!
Alright everyone, we at Idaho Deer Alliance are always getting questions from members, and non-members alike, about the projects we have been, or are planning on getting involved with to help with wildlife habitat conservation and improvement. Well, the opportunity for YOU to get involved is here!
There were a number of wild fires, as we all know, around the Boise area that burned up critical winter range habitat for deer and elk. The Idaho Fish & Game Department has a sagebrush and bitterbrush planting project coming up in March! This is the perfect opportunity to lend your support to rebuilding critical deer and elk winter range habitat!
This will be a multi-phased project. See the attached flier for the dates and details of the project. We need YOUR help! So pick a date, or two, and come out to help wrap and plant sagebrush and bitterbrush in the affected areas listed below:
March 2- Hammer Flat (area not already planted with shrubs)
March 9- ?Lucky? Fire near the wildlife underpass on Hwy 21
March 16- Boise River Wildlife Management Area (Charcoal Creek)
March 23- Boise River Wildlife Management Area (Charcoal Creek)
March 30- Boise River Wildlife Management Area (Charcoal Creek)
