As a father, I would be outraged if someone treated my 4 year old like that. Trying to make a 4 year old sign something and making sure that she knows that she can not go into another safeway store again?????? This guy must ride the short bus to work. I just dont understand how things like this can happen...it is beyond me.

I wonder why they didn't just pick up the bag of fruit and tell the dad to fork over the money.

And, my kid would not get interrogated by anyone from Safeyway.

Compromise, hell! ... If freedom is right and tyranny is wrong, why should those who believe in freedom treat it as if it were a roll of bologna to be bartered a slice at a time?

When JB was a youngster he noticed that Safeway had a slogan, 'You can't beat the meats at Safeway.'

He proved them wrong one day followed by a PA announcement, 'Clean up on aisle four.' He didn't get interrogated for that little stunt but I'm not sure if it was due to his age. That was back in '98.
