16 killed in shooting rampage, deadliest in Canadian history

A 51-year-old man went on a shooting rampage across the northern part of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia Sunday, killing at least 10 people, including a policewoman. Officials said the suspected shooter was also dead.

I thought Canada had pretty strick gun laws, and Iv heard that mass shootings are an American epidemic, and dont happen in other countries. Until the real issues that cause these horrible events is understood, and addressed, they will sadly continue. Blaming inanimate objects, availibility, and so forth is basically promoting this to happen. Its proven time and time again, the gun IS NOT the root of the problem. And by trying to eliminate THE GUN and ignoring the root problem, only enables the problem to continue. May everyone involved find peace. And may our leaders find wisdom, to finally address the ROOT issues that cause these horrible events.
