Quick question from an out of state hunter. I was reading in the regs book that if you draw a general rifle elk tag you can exchange it for a bow or muzzle loader tag in the same unit? Is this only applicable to elk tags or is it the same for general deer tags? Trying to figure out next year?s hunts. I would rather hunt with a bow or muzzle loader, but they overlap with my home states hunts so I am looking at the rifle hunt in UT. Now if I was able to exchange the general rifle tag for a bow or muzzle tag after I see what I draw out at home that would be really nice.

You can only exchange ($10 Fee) if there are still muzzleloader or archery tags still currently available for the area. The last couple years most seem to sell out in the draws so your chances are very slim.
