Robin hooding?

I have once. Shooting at thirty yards outdoors into a block target using carbon arrows with a 10mph wind blowing crossways. It was so lucky I saved it to act like I did it on purpose!

I've done it 3 times. i did it just yesterday. me and my two brothers were shooting. i was shooting at the same spot and one of my brothers was doing the same with another spot. And the other brother was shooting at two. I had just said that i should have been shooting at two different dots and the next shot i did it. I was pissed.

Quite a few times.....then I started shooting "three spot" targets. Haven't ruined an arrow since. :)

I make my own targets out of expandable foam and put 5 spots on them to avoid messin up my arrows. Especially when practicing with broadheads. I got tired of re-fletching after slicing them off with too close shots.

used to but My wife don't like holding the apple on her head anymore.

The first one is cool. Anymore after the first one you realize it is not near as cool and is expensive. You finally learn to never shoot at the same spot twice.

Polarbear! me and my friend just patched his old 3d deer target with expandable foam stuff. We didn't know if it would work, but it did. How did you make your own target?

Sticking two arrows together happens from time to time but I winessed a guy shoot three down the same shaft at an archery range years ago. If hadn't been standing two lanes over and seen it I would have never believed it. The guy was kinda pissed cause he had almost 20 bucks in arrows stuck together.

I GOT 3 LAST YEAR, THE 1ST BEING ON MY BIRTHDAY, ONLY SPLIT 2 KNOCKS SINCE THAT... :D SHARLIN

I just recently bought a diamond Rapture. I had the shop put a Trophy Ridge Flatliner on it. After they got it all set up, I went into there range to sight her in. It took us ten shotts to get her dialed in at twent yards. I began my next set of five and arrow 12 went right down the middle of arrow 11. Arrow 13 rubbed right up against them both. I decided that that was enough sighting in at 20 for the time being. I have shot it bunch since then with no more robin hoods, but can cover a five shot group on a calm day with a silver dollar out to 50 yards. I love it. Can't wait to get in the woods this fall.

Moonlight, I own a diamond rapture myself and would have to agree with you about the bow. had the same sight on it to begin with but just switched to a copper john and like that even better. the bow is light, accurate, and shoot like a dream. Good luck!

Sagehnter,

I couldn't believe the differnce in my shooting when I switched to that bow. I just started shooting sticks three years ago and had a Reflex Gamegetter that was 40" ata and wighed close to 6 pounds outfitted. I was used to it and shot it well and wondered how I would shoot the little rapture being so much shorter and lighter to start with. What a difference. Less is definately better. I can't wait for fall and hope that I can keep the wind right. If the bulls are fired up, I am confident in this bow and my abilities with it to make the shot. Good luck to you this fall as well.

Eight for me, it has been a while since the last...maybe two years or so. It gets expensive after a while but it sure makes a cool crack.

3 times for my. My first one was when I was 12. Just got my first compound bow, PSE Nova. 20 yard shot. Then last year I did it twice (17 years old). It makes it better when you're in the bullseye.

2 here, but then again I only consider it a true robinhood if it's your 1st & 2nd shot. I worked with a guy that would get a couple of them every week just during his lunch break--I finally went over to his house to see this phenom shoot and quickly discredited his robinhoods after I saw 3 dozen arrows in his target! His daily routine is to shoot ALL 36 arrows everyday at his 20 yard target without pulling any of the arrows before he's done. Sure did sound good though....

Was shooting a 3D course with brother in law.

He shot first at a 20 yrd beaver. He hit the 12 ring. Aimed at his arrow and wow a robin hood.

Like some said before I shoot at a different spot while practicing.

Too many dollars wasted if not.

Alot of people have done it. I think the key is they never move their feet from the first shot to the second. That's what I have found out, otherwise they just hit the side of the first arrow.

I got one at 20yds with field point. I just started getting serious about the bow with an Az. Elk tag in hand this year.
