what do you think of the Winchester Model 70 for a new rifle?
looking at 30-06 and 300 Win. Mag.
please give likes and dislikes

i'm biased, but i like the model 70 as good as any rifle. the pre-64 is beyond compare and the new "pre-64" style that is currently made is a great rifle too. either caliber is great too. .300 mag may be a little more versatile.

go stainless.
I have a Winchester 70 "black shadow" 300 win mag. It is so nice just wish i had gone stainless.
punch quaters at 200 yds.
eithe gun is great.
do you load your own now ?
I load my own adn it does make a difference,
both in preformance and cost.
