Look back in the General Forum a month or so ago. There is a thread called "coloring antlers". Lots of advice and methods. Browtine is helping me with some shortly. His recipe seems successful.
I colored an old set of horns with pine bows. It worked well on that set, but did not restore a varnished set after I stripped them.
