Residency/General Tags?

So I am trying to decide what to do.

At the time of the draw my family will still be nonresidents. We established residency in June.

I have 1 under max points for elk and antelope. I am exploring those options as we speak, but it occurred to me...

Does Wyoming allow residents to purchase general tags up until the season starts? If so I could save a ton of money by getting my wife and daughter general deer and elk tags.

Only applying them for antelope?

I know I can look this up, but just thought about it...

Yes. You can buy gen tags during the season.

And don't forget that when you become a be a resident in June you'll be able to purchase preference points for moose & sheep from the middle of July till the end of October.
