REMINGTON XCR QUESTION?

Anybody know why Remington discontinued the 700 XCR Stainless with Fiber Stock?

You ever seen a coating that didn't eventually start peeling off?

Just like the Lifetime RHINO lining on my Bumper,no bad stuff,but doesn't last forever either!

Never had a coated rifle.

The XCR's are still fairly easy to find.

I love the 338 win mag . I have been shooting it for over 20 years in a browning A- bolt.

Its because the came out with the XCRII it is stillstainless it is just coated with the nytrte or what ever its called their stainless model was the same way stainless with the coating i have one of of the older ones and have put it through a fair amount of hell and has not lost any of its finish the custom shop will still make you a stainless if you order one least thats what they told me

The original XCR's were discontinued when they came out whith the new versions, however think about this, they coated a stainless barrel, but the bore and internal parts are not coated and those are the hardest to keep dry and clean
