the days hunted to the number of deer harvested are pretty poor compared to other regions or the state wide average .any answers to why this is ? are the deer numbers down that bad or does the terrain and the time frame of the hunt play a factor .leaving for H friday and just want to hear some thoughts .

This guy beat the average. 2005 hunt up top of H. First day, spotted him moving from his bed to some shade in the middle of the day, nasty, rock slide hillside. I took him at 360 yds shot w/ .280 Ackley Imp. 140gr handloads. 28" 170 class. We saw one better, lots, and a couple about the same class and more than a dozen little guys like the one my pard took the last day to bring home.

great buck ,would be more than happy if we could see one that big let alone harvest one.
