As a non resident what are the chances of drawing a Region B Mule Deer tag? No preference points. I did apply for 2008.

What do you mean by cheap draw and High dollar draw? We paid $326.00 as a non-res.

There is the regular draw that you put in for and there is the special and it is more than 60 bucks more it's like 200 more. I don't have the figures right now but the old prices were basically 270 vs. 470 for the two tags. Special puts you in a pool with more tags IIRC. The odds are most times better but some times not that much better. For the area I hunt there is about a 3 percent better odds that you will get a tag for the extra money. On a B general tag it is almost 40% better odds for the money. B is an interesting area! I antelope hunt there. The part of it I know doesn't impress me for muleys but there is some good land in B. There is also quite a bit of private land.

Region B regular draw cost is $326.00 which includes a non-refundable application fee. It is $366.00 for same draw including buying a preference point fee which is $40.00. 326 plus 40= $366.00

The Special price is $566.00 and a Preference Point is another $40.00 total $606.00

If like stated above that it is a 100% for the higher price draw(Special) it would be $566 for the Special Deer with no Pref Point.

This is all on the WY website:

Thank you Brian, I didn't have the figures off the top of my head. I knew they increased but wasn't sure to what dollar amount. Looks like the Special tag is still 2 bills extra.
