redfish lake

Hey, have to go to redfish lake this july for 3 days, was wanting to look for some deer and elk while up there, any good areas to go a find some animals to look at.

Yes, go to Decker Flats area, or head to Stanley turn towards Boise on Hwy 21, you will travel down the hwy and keep looking into the large meadows mostly on the north side of the hwy. but also on the south side. Once you get to the road that takes off and goes towards cape horn/beaver creek turn around that is about 15 miles going west to the turn around. The elk cows always calf in that area. You may be able to see a wolf also!

Try Frenchman Cr. road. Elk summer there and always a chance to see deer, goats and bear. Wolf sighting is always a possibility. Lots of viewing options in that area.
