I like to look at CL ads out of entertainment, i'm dumbfounded by a lot of the ads in the personals section.
I see ads like this all the time in the Utah and Idaho (Mormon stronghold areas) and it blows my mind about the hypocrisy.
Does doing this and being a mormon make it ok as long as it's with other mormons?
I am LDS and have never been taught this!
Thoughts??

I already admitted i ocasionally look at these ads out of cheap entertainment, now you can see why. Lol
There are ads like this in the Utah and Idaho personals all the time. I've seen some requiring pics of temple recommends and or couples holding a book of mormon as proof of their "faith".
My qestion is, do they really justify this as long as it's with other LDS couples, does that make it all ok??
Will they go to Hell if they mix it up with a catholic couple?? Lol

Slam, this is strange, I agree.

IMO, this doesn't fit with LDS morals even a little.
This is sorta like saying "all hunters are poachers".....

You are gonna find strange people in every group of people. I would doubt that these "people" are even associated with LDS people. I think if you really found out who they were, you would confirm this......

There are a few things that raise a red flag. Someone wants to see their temple reccomends or photos in their momo skivvies? Why would anyone request this proof of being a mormon? Any true follower of our faith would be sinning if they were involved in this activity right? Of course, so why would a "mormon" be so open about sinning? Most people from any religion who would commit sin would do so in secret as to not get caught. So my theory is that these "mormons" aren't mormons at all or are mormons who have an axe to grind. Some people love to see momos engage in things that contradict our beliefs. Many of my co-workers want to get me drunk just so they can say they got a momo drunk. My brother went on his mission in an area of a very prevalent SEC school. The sorority of this school, had a deal that any girl who could get a momo missionary sent home early would have an automatic spot within the group.

Does this make any sense?

Tayhot, i can agree with a lot of your comments. But i for one have lived in Utah my whole life and just recently moved to Idaho. It is amazing how many "swingers" there are in the Mormon faith, it's astounding! I am saying this because of people i personally know that do it, or have done it. I'm not stereotyping the entire faith of course, but it does happen in this faith, and in others as well, no doubt.
My point is simply this.....why don't i ever see "Catholics seeking other Catholics for sex"?
Do theses select groups of "sinners" think they will be safe from being exposed as long as they keep it within the same faith?
Or is it that they think God will be a little more forgiving??
This is not an isolated ad, they are in there a LOT!!

Who really give a sh!t?

I'm mormon, served a mission, married in the temple.....the whole bit. I go to church almost all the time too. Do I like it? Hell no, it's boring as hell. Do I feel it's important? Yep. Not everything important in life is always fun. Do alot of mormons drive me absolutely effing crazy? Yep. Can't stand most of them. Been screwed over by more church going LDS people than any other faith. My belief in the mormon faith isn't based upon the people in the church, I'd be screwed if it was. My belief is based upon the fact that God really exists and cares about what we are doing.

Let's clarify one thing. Being mormon doesn't make you any better than anybody else. My own opinion is that 80%-90% of mormons don't even know why they go to church, just like any other religion. Most people just go to whatever church their family, neighbors, friends go to. Few ever really put forth the effort to find out if God exists, if their faith is in the right place, etc........So to wonder why these people are swingers is a waste of time. Bottom line is, they are just people, just like everybody else. They're no better, no worse. They simply just haven't figured it out yet. And no, this isn't condoned by the church, good hell what kind of retarded question is that? That's like asking the Pope if banging 12 year old boys is condoned in the Catholic faith! Judast?!

But on a lighter side, they are smart to get photos, cause you don't want to be banging some ugly chick!
 
Good points Smitty, but i didn't recall reading anyone saying here it was "condoned" by the church, but maybe i missed that somewhere?
My question with it, and i do understand it's a hypothetical one but was and still is....."do they think it's all ok as long as they keep it amongst their faiths"?

Tough to say slammy. I know a few years ago, some BYU students were jetting down to Vegas to get married, pounding the hell out of each other for the weekend, and then getting it annulled. They thought that was OK, but from what I heard, they got caught and excommunicated.

That's what I mean when I say most of them don't really know.

Never seen a more posed/spam looking ad in my life. It is simply looking for your email address so it can send you all sorts of garbage. Notice they don't give a phone number, but anonomous email address. Bet you $5 if you send them a come on email you you won't get a response, but will get SPAMMMMM..........

However.....you are most likely correct about the pic, it's been taken from somewhere else.
