About the only thing you can do is run a razor along the shaft scraping off the glue. Make sure you don't push too hard as the razor will cut into the carbon if you do. I haven't seen many people as of late shooting the 5 inch vane as opposed to the 4. If I'm not mistaken, 5 inch vanes are supposed to stabilize your arrow flight just a touch more. 4 inch should be more than adequate for this. I have shot 4 inch vanes for years. Good luck on stripping the glue off those arrows.
