Random Draw odd

I have one non-resident preference point.

I do have access to a decent chunk of land to hunt in a higher demand unit that I believe took 8.5 points to draw last year. If I apply for that given unit do I still have a chance(albeit slim) to draw in the "random draw"?

Yes assuming there are some tags in the random pool. You can look at the draw odds on the WY web page and it will have a section that shows the random odds for the tag.
