According to the latest Jan issue of "huntin fool" it lists the "governors/commissioners/auction" tags available for 2011. I'm sure this is not a complete list, but as it goes, Utah is way above the whole western US combined. Utah tallys in at roughly 200 tags for sale. Colorado, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Alaska, New Mexico, all come in with a COMBINED total of roughly 150. This is not including the EXPO tags. My question is why does Utah have soooo many? Does Utah gets All the money put back into UTAH'S wildlife or what? If each state gets its profits put towards it's own then we should be wallowing in wildlife. Granted each orginization sells a different ammount, but reguardless it SHOULD ALL BE GOING BACK TOWARDS WILDLIFE. In retrospective we seem behind in wildlife enhancement. We have seen some habitat improvement, but with all that money we should be "wildlife rich" but seem to be far from it.....

What do ya'll think? Are we getting it without vaseline, or am I missin something?

You also did not include Land Owner Tags, and CWMU tags. They are all available to the highest bidder.
If I remember correctly there are about 1000 tags for sale in Utah.

Looks like Brigham Young was right. Utah is the land of milk and honey at least for some. Money probably should have been included in that quote. Take a look at your G&F Administrative costs I bet they're high.

You can thank Don Peay and SFW. They take care of the Rich. If I was wealthy I'd love Don Peay. He makes sure anybody with money can come here to Utah and buy a primo tag. And look where the money that SFW generates goes. Very little of what they generate goes back into Wildlife. He continually expands his employees, paying them good wages. Who controls or monitors this? Don Peay.

This is what happens when people think they own the land and animals. All these people are lining their pockets with deer they think "they own". No one owns the animals. If you think you own a deer or the animals go out and get you one. This is what happens when people get greedy. Greedy for deer and greedy for money.

Don't get me wrong, I totally support a "few" money tags, IF the money is used right. Our neighboring states (Ariz/Nev) are overflowing with wildlife enhancement. They have 50 times more tanks/guzzlers/re-seeds, than we do. It just seems like "they" are gettin richer and "their" trophy rooms are gettin bigger, and the average hunter is gettin more and more premium tags taken away. As for this average hunter, my azzhole seem to be gettin pretty sick of this and sore....
