As much fun as it sounds to be mauled my a lion out in the boonies I probably would have used 3 brain cells and done everything completely different. That is something I would have done as a teenager though.

Didn't they ever hear of firecracks and a shotgun. Light the firecracks throw them in the cave wait for the cat to come running out and blast him with the shotgun and buckshot. It was cool to watch though.
