When I worked in the woods me and the Cat 966 loader operator were on the landing sorting logs on a steep point. I looked up just in time to see the forks of the 966 disappear over the bank. I ran over to the edge and looked down and all I could see was a cloud of dust. He rode the loader all the way to the creek, about 250 ft. He got a nice lump on his head but that's all. It took a full day to build a road down to it to get it out. His pucker factor must have been 10.
