Well while turkey hunting I found a few more elk sheds.
First time out and passed on a jake.
Still have not found the set I am looking for but at least I know one decent bull still is in the area so far.
As they lay. If you look close in the first pic you can see the match past the bushes above the shed.

2nd shed on the other side of bushes as it lay.
The pair together with my shotgun gives an idea of the size. For public land it's a sweet set. Mid 320's

Another 6 point shed a few years old found.

Here's an old muledeer buck skull found and left on the way out. Thought it was neat with the lichens growing on it.
Now that I finally found the elk shed area things will get interesting. Wonder if I will hunt turkeys as seriously or investigate further. Probably both.
