You know the old saying that if you take away everyone's guns that the only one who will have them is the criminals.
We'll I guess that is true since in England you can't have weapons as we do in the United States. So how did that guy get a gun to shot that high ranking official?

I'm bettin yer right homer but if the penalty for possessing any firearm is similar to possessing an unregistered full auto (10yrs and $250,000) it'll be hard to blame them. This is how "confiscation" will unfold.

That doesn't work in Chicago.

I don't think they'll actually try to "take" them away. They'll just make them so politically incorrect to own, so legally difficult to obtain, so expensive to use, and so difficult to store or sell that many if not most owners will just give them up. They just won't be worth the trouble.
