LAST EDITED ON Mar-25-15 AT 10:57AM (MST)[p]A college basketball player in Canada was approved by his team to proudly wear his last name on the back of his jersey: F---.

Guilherme Carbagiale F-u-c-k, a Brazilian-born 6 foot, 6 inch forward who plays for Medicine Hat College in Alberta, told the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation that his name is of German origins and means "fox," and pronounced, "foo-key."

But it is easy to see where there can be some confusion.

It's written in the good Book that we'll never be asked to take more than we can. Sounds like a good plan, so bring it on!

I'm calling BS on parts of this story. My grandmothers maiden name was Fox. When her ancestors arrived here the spelling was Fuchs which means fox in German. The spelling ##### is not German.
