problems with the bushnell scout rangefinder

I have a bushnell scout rangefinder made in 05 and this last month on my elk hunt it stopped ranging pass 21 yrds. The next day my brothers did the same thing. His was made in 02. The only thing that we can come up with is that we both were trying to range things thru a shoot thru mesh screen on a ground blind. Just wondering if anybody has had the same problem. Tried new batteries but no luck.

I have a Bushnell Yardage Pro 800 and I can't get it to range anything, I've set back to bushnell and they say there isn't anything wrong. POS, I can't even sell it on ebay. Good luck with yours.

Thanks for the information nruehmeier. I guess its time to spend the money and buy a lieca.
