I have checked my primers and have noticed that the Federal Gold primers burn the hottest and shows the least amount of pressures...what have you guys found?????
Gonehuntin, I've used CCI Primers for over 30 years. Good ignition rate, consistency and quality. I've never had a reason to "shop" other brands.(note: have NEVER had a mis-fire, EVER!!) BUCKRUB :7
i got a good deal on a buncha winchester magnum primers some years back and have used them since then. seem to do real well. if you're using something with a big load of powder, a magnum primer will work better. sets it of quite a bit quicker. i use them in everything i shoot that takes large rifle primers. use cci's in my .223's.
LAST EDITED ON Jul-02-03 AT 06:53AM (MST)[p]I just read a thread somewhere about "The Misconception of Primers". I'll try to see if I can dig it up. It had a lot of good stuff.
