Preference point refund?

I was told by a friend if I included the preference point money on my application and drew a tag that money would be refunded. I did so just to save the hassle if I had to purchase one later. Does any one have experience with this personally. Will I get my refund or not?

If you drew your first choice, the G&F will send you a refund for the PP you bought during your application. If you drew a second or third choice tag the PP will be credited to your account and you will have the point to use for the 2017 draw.

Ok. Thanks for the reply. It was my first choice. My tag showed up a couple days ago but still no refund.

Refunds should go directly back to the card you used.
