Powers Archery Elk

So I have plenty of points to draw the Archery tag and would like to have a good chance at a roosevelt. Anyone have any experience with this tag. It seems to be the hardest to draw for roosies...just not sure why? Just curious if anyones had any experience with this hunt. Thanks

It's a little harder to draw because Powers is a spike only unit. When you draw the Powers one elk tag, it is open season! Lots of big bulls in that unit!

I saw a pick of an archery bull from last year or the before. An absolute monster roosie. I think it ended up mid-360's. JB

There are some pigs in the Powers unit. Really need to put your time in scouting. Some of the country can be very unforgiving.
