NO! They will be left on your account as long as you continue to apply for a tag for that animal at least every other year, but they can't be used unless you lose your resident status and would apply as a NR in the future. My buddy in Sheridan has had that happen a couple times since PPs were started 8 years ago for NRs for deer, elk, and antelope. Also, for animals where both can obtain PPs like moose the PPs can go back and forth depending on whether you're applying as a resident or NR in any given year. A couple times he wished he would have put in for moose when he was a NR because he had better odds for the unit he wants than he now has as a resident.
