i was just given a point blank bow. any opinions on it, good or bad? i don't know anything about archery, but it seems good to me. i can put ten arrows in the vital area out to 40 yards.

These were made by Proline. In about 1992 or 1993 they redesigned the Point Blank, it was then the Point Blank New Wave CR41. 41" ATA. It had a built in overdraw. Smooth draw. At the time they were excellent bows. And actually, I think they still are good bows.

Does your bow have a 'built in' overdraw, and is it reddish/brown cammo in color? If so then it's the New Wave, if not it's the older Point Blanks. Later Proline made the Tsunami based on the New Wave designed but I think without the Point Blank name.

One idea you may want to do is search for it on Ebay. Anytime I want to get an idea about a piece of equipment I'll do a search on ebay and get info by pictures, and stated specs on people who are selling. Search for Proline Point Blank

One more thing.....if your new to archery you may or may not know. But NEVER, NEVER, NEVER dry fire your bow.

thanks for the info gila. mine doesn't have an overdraw and it's a woodland camo finish.

The Proline PointBlank compound bow was and still will be an efficient bow with plenty of punch for hunting. If you're shooting it well, I'd stick with it. Good luck and have fun.
