PM Question

I answered and PM and after I sent it I can not see my response. Is this normal or does it mean that my response did not go through. Other sites I use you can see your response that you have sent to someone. I know a lot of you use it so please let me know so I know if I might want to send it again. I sure do not want to send it twice. Thanks
