Pine nuts?

Does anyone know of a decent place to gather pine nuts near Salt Lake? The kids are 5 and 7 and never been. Hoping to take them out tomorrow. Any help would be great!

I think the chipmunks are going to go hungry this year. I went out 2 weeks ago. Drove 60 miles of dirt road in the pinion trees. I didn't find a nut one. Last year at this time you could scoop up the nuts with a shovel. Then a couple days later went out on the west desert same ol. None this year. You might try the Natural food store. Sorry can't help ya.

Pinon only falls every four years or so. Its not a yearly crop
