I found the set below around Easter; one on Easter and the other some two weeks later. The first one (the one without a broken tine) I found in an area where I knew a couple of big elk hang out in and few people check - even though you can almost see the area from town. Now to find the match - holy! Being an unwise human, I followed the trails in the snow. I saw lots of sign that way; but no horns. I hiked the area at least another 5 times. Finally, I had a brainstorm and just hiked further down the ridgeline. Not a quarter mile down the ridge (of course I approached it from the other direction and found the white 7 point set that I posted the other day), the match was just laying there waiting. Next time, I'll ignore fresh tracks in the snow.

Nice find. Yeah, sometimes the further you walk the bigger reward. Congrats.
