Painted Cams?

Has anyone ever tried painting their cams? I'm shooting an '06 Trykon and i'm thinking i'd like to powder coat my cams. Any help is appreciated.

The powder will chip. Make sure you do a good job of masking the critical areas because powder paint is a lot thicker than anodizing. You can probably have the cams re-anodized in a color that you like. Do you want to paint the cams for cosmetic reasons or is the problem with the anodized finish? If the anodized finish is flaking off or seems to have poor adhesion you may be able to send it back to Hoyt for repair.

I want to do this strictly for cosmetic reasons. I definitely don't want to do anything that will effect the bows performance. Is anodizing going to be my best option? Is this just simply an unrealistic possibility?

I am 99% sure that Hoyt sends them out for anodizing from the factory or they have them made by a subcontractor who sends them out to be anodized. It seems to me that there is a lot of choices color wise with anodizing. I don't know how powder paint would affect your bows performance but I do know that powder paint goes on much thicker than anodizing and is probably heavier than anodizing. I would also bet that if you change the finish on the cams it will void your warranty with Hoyt.
