Hey, I heard the ol truck took a tumble last week. Brad told me that sucks... Is it snowing up there. I was going to go out this weekend but it is a blizzard like crazy here. Guess that ruins my weekend trip.

Ya that does suck, his truck went out two weeks ago too didn't it? Hahaha, you fellows need to tone it down. What licenses are you putting in for this year? Take some pictures of those damn wolf kills. Rumour has it that they are all they way down here now.

Speaking of wolf-kills...here's a couple I picked up last spring. I found 4 wolf-killed bulls in two days during the third week of April. When I came across the bloody raghorn, two wolves were still eating on it! I could see how the wolves ran the bull out of some timber into a bunch of deep, wind-packed snow where it just floundered until they finally killed it. Looking at the scene, it looked like the bull struggled all over the hillside while the wolves ate on him. This is one of the reasons I won't go out too early just trying to find wolf-kills. Those poor elk don't get a rest from those things, so I won't want to add to their stress. Although it is pretty cool to find the racks & ivories, I'd much rather find their sheds and know that they will survive another year so I can find their sheds again the next year!

hey non-typical250

when are you coming up next. you need to come up the first week of april and do some horn hunting with us. i found myself a new truck and now i can pull a horse trailer. i just put in for sheep, moose and goat all together it was like 305 dollars and im putting in for a late bull tag also. are you putting in for tags where you live. have you thought about putting in for here.

Hey, I didn't draw out for an elk tag. I did get a turkey tag, so I'll be up there. Lets go horn hunting too. Maybe the first or second weekend in April.

sounds good to me, that is the best time to go. which part did you draw a tag for here in wyo.
