this last weekend we hit it on the perfect day.

This first buck my dad jumped it out of its bed at 60 yards and he watched it for about 1 minute then it turned and started to bound off, on the third bound he watched both sides fall off. Truly a once in a life time site.

EPOINTER, That's exactly what I was thinking. Watch out for the bash, The'll be giving you crap about picking up sheds before may. Any way GREAT FIND SEND MORE PIC'S

yea there's a few guys that like to talk on here about going to early, this area we hit , we found boot tracks and 4-wheeler tracks that were there before us, My dad and I hike on foot, and were not afraid to put 8-10 miles on avg. each day that we are out,There are some areas that we wont go in early because nobody has been there before, areas that are well known we keep an eye on and when they drop we try to get on them,Its all about the right timing , Im never happy about people blazing thru the trees early on wheelers but who's going to stop them, I know we find more sheds on avg. hiking on foot , guys on wheelers cant get into the thick stuff or hillsides and I think they miss more than they know which is ok with me,

No bash needed - we see plenty of non-snowy terrain and the weather is mild most places lately. We can get over it. Nice finds!

Millicrazy, you should mount those big sheds on one of those plastic euo mounts. I found a big set and will send pics when done. Great find!!!!!!!!!

DAMN!!!!! I just realized I'll never get this time back.

Nice sheds, thanks for sharing

+ 1 Slam, there is no need of bashing others for their effort and pictures of their sharing their hunts of sheds. It is the season of finding early bone. Any of us can do this year round without disturbing wildlife, if we all use our common sences. Use your best judgement. I for one shed hunt year round and yes time to time I disturbe wildlife. Not by purpose but by accident. It is just like hunt; never know what is around the next ridge. Do I shed hunt were wildlife winters? Yes, but dont we all. Are they there when I arrive? Yes, they are. Do I stay away from them for fair chase? Yes I do. Is there time that I see no wildlife in an area and decide to go for a walk then all the sudden out of the blue I jump wildlife? Yes it happens. My point in all this is simply this. We all enjoy and are avid shed hunters. I have read many things recently on this forum that kinda makes like we are against each other on their simple ways they shed hunt and or find antlers. I have personally seen bucks and bulls drop their antlers within 100 yards of me without disturbing them. I have also been within ten feet of them without them be affraid and I have taken my dog out shed hunting without them chasing the animals. To me the bottom line is this, if, when, what, why or how you want to shed hunt is alone your decision.
This is a passion we all live for and need to conserve it. Use your judgement the best you know how. Let's not accuse others of wrong doing unless we see in our own personal eyes. Let's all just enjoy the hunt and not judge one another.

wildantlerman, + 1! Couldn't have said it better myself. Seems to me that many of our fellow shed hunters always have several negative things to say. Unless one has something positive to say, perhaps some should keep their mouths shut. Not always does one understand the situtation that a person is in. I myself, thinks a person should use common sense, though some may not have this and some may differ from others, none the less, we should all try to respect others opionions and thoughts without so much negitive feedback.

MiLLiCRAZY U r the man,, don't listen to a lot of these wanna b's on here... u do your work and deserve every shed you get.. I seen u when i was heading out Saturday, how'd u do?

You guys really find some nice sheds! Makes me miss Southern Utah. Are you guys chasing these same bucks during the hunts? Those are some monsters for the general season.

Hey thanks every one for the good comments, Yeah during the rifle we were trying to get the buck that we found the big single off of. couldnt get closer than about 700 yards cause of the thick trees.
