Those are kudu horns, not gemsbok (oryx). My friend's dad buys hides and horns in Namibia from culling operations and pickups, and they are sold in bulk like this. I have no idea what they are used for.

My computer only brought up half the link, and I just saw the small pic at top. This time I got the whole thing; yep, got a little bit of everything there.
