Here's the story.
I was still hunting on a steep hillside when I spotted a small buck feeding. I watched him for a bit when I heard a noise and out of the corner of my eye I saw antlers, big antlers. He was only 40 yards away and was feeding is way through a stinger of tiny pines. I drew when he went behind a tree and I waited for him to step into the clear. I was shaking so bad, this was the first time I've ever had an opportunity at a buck this close with him not even knowing I was there. At 30 yards he stopped broadside and was still feeding and I released. The arrow smashed into him hard and he went down within sight. I couldn't beleive what just happened. I could hardly contain myself.
I've been archery hunting since I was 12 and am now 23 I have shot a number of does, a spike, and a forky. I dream of the next years hunt as soon as the season ends as most of everyone here does. I practice shooting, look at maps endlessly, research, read anything I can get my hands on. And for it to finally come together was an amazing dream come true.
Thanks for all the comments guys.
