Brian Campbell and the folks at Birch Creek Guide Service have some hunts available right now for those of you thinking about bucks and bulls in Oregon. Here are the details he wrote about the hunts.
3 Murders Creek Guided Archery Bull Hunts with unit wide outfitter tags available. These archery hunts are 7 day guided and fully outfitted hunts (food and lodging is included). Dates available are 8/31 - 9/29. The price on these hunts is $5,000.00 each for a 2x1 hunt, and $6,500.00 for a 1x1 hunt. Hunt prices do not include license or tag fees.
3 Northside Rifle Bull Tags with unit wide outfitter tags available. These rifle hunts are 9 day hunts and are perfect hunts for hunters not wanting the tent camp experience. These hunts do not include food or lodging as they are based close enough to a motel and numerous Airbnb’s, that hunters can find lodging, within a few miles of some of the ground we hunt. These hunts do include a small 2,500 acre lease on some good quality private property, as well as special use BLM permits. Dates for these hunts are 11/9 - 11/17 and the price on these hunts is $5,750.00 each for a 2x1 hunt, and $6,750.00 each for a 1x1hunt. Hunt prices do not include license, tag fees, food or lodging.
1 Ochoco Rifle Bull Tag with a unit wide outfitter tag available. This is a 9 day guided and fully outfitted hunt from 11/9 - 11/17, and priced at $8,000.00. This is an 8-9 preference point tag for nonresidents to draw and is a unit traditionally known for producing some great bulls. Hunt price does not include license or tag fees.
3 Northside Mule Deer Rifle Buck Tags with unit wide outfitter tags available. These are 5 day hunts either from 10/5 - 10/9 or 10/12 -10/16 and is priced at $4,000.00 for a 2x1 hunt or $5,250.00 for a 1x1 hunt. These hunts do not include food or lodging, but do include a 2,500 acre lease on quality private property that has had very low buck hunting pressure the last few years. We did not have any hunters on the private piece last year, but did kill a 28” 2x2 buck the year before. Hunt price does not include food, lodging, license or tagfees.
3 Murders Creek Mule Deer Rifle Buck tags with unit wide outfitter tags available. These are 5 day hunts either from 10/5 - 10/9 or 10/12- 10/16 and is priced at $4,000.00 for a 2x1 hunt or $5,250.00 for a 1x1 hunt. This hunt also does not include food or lodging as we are hunting within a short drive of the town of John Day. Last year, we saw several small and mediocre bucks on this hunt and ended up killing a 25” 3x4 on the last day. Hunt price does not include food, lodging, license or tag fees.
5 Day Guided Rifle Cow Hunts with depredation tags available. These hunts run from 8/1/2024 - 3/31/2025 and are priced at $1,750.00 each. These are great hunts if you are trying to fill the freezer, a beginning hunter wanting to learn and get your first elk under your belt, or have an unsuccessful hunt elsewhere in Oregon. As these are depredation tags, you can exchange an unfilled elk tag from a prior season in for one of these tags, and book a hunt with us. Hunt price does not include food, lodging, license, or tag fees.

This is a 7 day guided and fully outfitted hunt (food and lodging is included) in a unit that normally takes Nonresidents 13 preference points to draw. Dates available are 8/31 - 9/29. The price on this hunt is $7,500.00 for a 1x1 hunt. Hunt prices do not include license or tag fees.
