Oregon Antelope

I have 13 points for antelope here in Oregon and can draw just about any tag (not Hart Mt. Antelope Refuge.) Does anyone have any suggestions for units? I have had my mind set on the Steens Mts. but now am thinking of Warner or Beatty's. Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

I hunted S. Wagontire last year - my first antelope tag and I had 11 points. If I could do it over I'd of waited a couple more years for a Juniper tag, I did get an antelope but it wasn't as easy as everyone says, per the bio I talked to last year many of the antelope on S. Wagontire had moved to Juniper to find food - really dry in that whole area last year. Anyway, seems Juniper has some really big antelope and is a good hunt. You will have a great time hunting those speedgoats - good luck!!

All of that depends on what you want for score on your antelope. If you say 90 is the only thing that will make you happy. That is not gonna happen. If a good 80" class goat will work send me a message and we can talk about it mark.

I have to agree with what u have your mind set on. Steens is an incredible antelope unit as well as Juniper. East Beattys is also a great choice. If I were to draw a tag, any one of those three units I would be happy with. Be patient and hold out for what you want and you'll get a nice antelope.
