Has anyone hunted the white horse unit for goats. Looking it to getting a land owner tag. What can I expect? Any help would be great .

my dad hunted it last year he got a nice heavy 14 3/4 he lives in jordan valley, where are you getting a land owner tag at and how much? is there more available let me know. David

Hi,

I took a 16 1/4 inch buck in the southern portion of this HUGE unit in 2001.What part of the unit are you looking at? The northern part probably has more animals, but that draws the majority of the hunters as well.Anyways, if you have a land owner permit, you'll have to hunt on his property only.

If you need info on the southern portion, close to the nevada border, shoot me an email and ill be happy to share.

This year in Oregon, if you can find a little water hole, you will be rewarded! Its been a hot dry one here this year.

It is a ranch on the southern end of the unit. If my friend does not get off his butt we my not get the last two tags.
