Hey guys, I have a buddy who drew the Silver Lake/Fort Rock rifle tag for speed goats. He's been out busting his {bad word} looking around and has found a few goats, but not what we're used to seeing around here. Anybody have any tips about any public land spots where we can look around and at least see some bucks? Anybody passing through the area seeing any bucks? He's looking for a hawg but I know I'll get heckled if I ask for the coordinates of that 17+ in. He's covered a lot of ground around Silver Lake and off 31, but only seeing a few herds here and there and a decent buck or two. What about the east part of the Fort Rock unit? We're close enough to get out there and this guy is totally willing to put in the time, so we're not swindlers looking for the easy way to a big goat. Any direction would be greatly appreciated and we may be able to help with some deer/elk info in Central/South Central Oregon. Thanks much.
