My son Tanner nailed this 9 inch Tom first thing this morning, opening day.
We had been watching this guy for about 2 weeks.
We set up early, and it worked out great, he could not resist the decoys.
Tanner shot him with his Hoyt Rampage XT, and a crazy looking expanding broadhead.
He works at Jakes Archery, so he has been practicing and trying all kinds of stuff.

Have a look.

It's been a long hard ride
Got a ways to go
But this is still the place
That we all call home

Congrats on a nice bird. I whacked a bird today myself, 9 inch beard but NO spurs. I opted for the scatter gun, maybe I'll take my bow next trip out.

Nice job on your turk im still trying. called in more hunters than birds i also seen more hunters than birds so any help findind a gobbler would be awsome Thanks!

Great tom. That grin on your boy's face says it worth the hard work and time put in.

Thanks Guys, I hope your Son gets one Bobcat!

We went back up Saturday night, and I was able to get an arrow in this Tom. He has an 8 1/4 inch beard, my Sons Tom had a 9 inch beard.

We had a great time!

Nice job again!

Just wondering overall how the Birds are doing wherte you Hunt?

Our Bird numbers are down, especially the Mountain Birds!

Jr is perty Finicky when it comes to taking a Game Animal,He won't hunt with the Ole cat anymore, last time I did hunt with him I watched him turn better than 50 Decent Toms Lose in one Season, but what Fun it is!

Ther Spring time Weather is always throwing Curves on the Early Gobbler Hunts!

Bobcat,
Where we were hunting, I bet the turkey numbers are up
By double. We were seeing 30 to 80 per day.
Tell us if your son gets one.

Good to hear they're doing well where you hunt!

Between a Couple of previous Winters & the Basin having more Predators than anywhere it's been an up & down Deal with the Birds!

Hopefully this last/Easy Winter we just had will Help them!
