Only Thing on My Mind!!! I'm Crazy

I'm not sure if you all have the same problem right now, but I can't think about anything else them two hunts coming up. I wake up in the morning check MM to see any new scouting pics, I have gone to Sportsmans and bought $70 of videos on Archery and Rifle hunts, I don't even care if they were deer shot in 90's. I have read my huntng magazines from cover to cover in all parts of the house.

My wife asked me why my mind isn't in the covnersation and I just give her the look of death for distracting my day dreaming of big bucks.

MY productivity at work is non-exisitent and I am starting to starve myself to make sure I can hike the hills without having to pack an extra 20 pounds. My kids come up to me and want to play leogos, instead I pop in a video and show them the true meaning of life as guides stock big game across America.

I have 33-days tell my archery hunt and 69 until my rifle hunt. I feel like I am in a prison cell counting the days.

Anyone else share this craziness or am I just a redneck?

Me too! The wife gave me evil stares last night as I read a bow hunting magazine instead of paying closer attention to her. I watched some hunting videos after she and the kids went to bed. I'll be elk hunting in 18 days here in CO. and I drew a really good mule deer rifle tag for Nov. At least I'll have a short break after archery season, before I start thinking of trophy mule deer.

I got an archery hunt and a bear hunt comming up and I am already loosing it. I also am slippen at work and at home not much seems to matter any more.. ITS HUNTIN SEASON WOOO HOOO

Gentlemen: I hope this waiting period goes by quickly for you. Right now I am a one-track mind and I think as much as my wife will miss me while I am gone on my archery hunt, she is sick and tired of hearing about it. I leave in 2 days and opening day is this Saturday! Holy ##### I cant believe its so close. We will be hunting the same area we have for the past several years>> that is ofcourse when we get drawn. Its up in North-Eastern Cal about 20 miles from the Nevada border. Awesome country. The scouting trips have been great and I look to arrow a nice buck. Good luck to all you guys

My son and I both frew New Mexico Archery Elk tags we leave Aug
31st for two weeks ... Im a mess cant seem to get anything done unless it has to do with the hunt.

I am going crazy as well. My dad and I went out scouting last weekend and man oh man I have not really done anything at work because I keep having flashbacks of the bucks that I saw. We saw 60 deer in less than 3 hours and 20 of them were bucks 5 that were over 24 wide and probably 18 high!!! I only have 2 days before I leave it is going to be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to all of the guys about having their wives deal with hunting season. Best of luck everyone!

I can't take it anymore, saturday is just to damn far off, i may loose my job before the week is out, unless of course i do alot of computer work like i am now

Good luck everyone I think i need to take sleeping pills and sleep till friday night, dreaming of velvet the whole time, i have 3 weeks off work for hunting/guiding wish i never had to come back. let your arrows fly true|
