well I found a nice shed last year. I went back out to that spot every chance I got for the next month or two with no luck. I looked behind, under, and around every sagebrush, rock, and tree.

one year later.....the other day I was talking to a friend and he said that he thought he found the other side to the horn that I found last year and to bring it to church today to compare. we both brought our horns to church and sure enough it was the same buck. he found the other side a year after I had found the one side. anyway we traded and and brought some closure to this shed hunt. anyway here is a pic.

Congrats on pairing up some sheds. Gotta love that 7" base. Also, love the chick magnet shirt, lol. fatrooster.

Just Curious?

In Picture number 5!

My Son has found a few Sheds similar to that one you're holding!

Big in Diameter, but are light in weight, the pedicle/base look different than most Sheds too!

Just wondering if anybody knows what causes that?

All these Perty little Western Belles are a Country Boys Dream!
They ain't got Wings or MM Halo's but they sure look good to me!

Also Parker?

Just wondering if you found that Shed in Pic # 5 in Utah?

i have a whitetail 3 years in a row like that, super huger bases with good mass but the antler has no density. after scouting the area i found the buck live. it looks like his "sack" got torn on a fence line. i assume he cant breed.

if that caused it or not i dont know but something to think about

for a 5th of that wiskey your going to get for taking that elk hunter down south. i will tell you what causes big bases and short on the rest of the antler,, if the wiskey good might even show you 2or 3..

One of my favorite finds was this 3 pt. shed. Great basal mass to the brow tine, definitely some kind of injury there, then just average to short growth on beams & tines.

Base diameter 2-1/2" and 7-3/4" circumference.

So could be some kind of genetic anomaly, or injury, or both!

I have a feeling that the only reason you want to know where the shed was found in pic five is because of that dead head.

I wonder if the bases are big becouse of the buck is going down hill and getting old becouse I have the year before sheds on this buck and he isnt this heavy and he was a four by five.
also I found that shed in utah yes.

what about the dead head?
