I just found a bottle of Old Weller 107.
My father-inlaw put it away for a special occasion back in 1981.
We moved him into a senior lodge and in doing some clean up discovered the un-opened bottle. Do I sample it or leave it for another 15-20 years.

I was given a bottle of Scotch that was aged for 45 years, smooooth is all I can say. That was my bottle and no one got any of it, lasted me a year. Then I went to buy another bottle and the guy told me I would have to buy a case since it was a special order........cost $47.50 per bottle, a case was $560.00 that about floored me. I said, I will till my friend gives me another bottle. LOL
That was 30 years ago, don't even remember the brand name now.

Unfortunately it won't age any better in the glass bottle. I had the same sort of experience years ago with a bottle of Wild Turkey 101.

When my Dad went overseas in WWII (hit the beach at Normandy)he set aside a bottle of wine. When he finally returned and the family opened it had turned to vinegar, probably not a premium wine.....LOL.
