I've been at the above many times, also our other Academies. It always gives me CHILLS.
My Post's don't always get many replies but here in The Campfire I feel as we share the things important to each of us, we get to know each other better.
I've stood at the base of the Herndon Monument and can't imagine when Greased, how long it'd take us MM's to place a Camo hat atop
At the start is our Blue Angels, They ALWAYS give me a Chill. At just before the 2 minute mark, USMC speaks, then Navy. It's an Honor to give respect to the Past. this is one reason I made a previous Post asking for stories. The above link, is to our Future. It's ok not to reply. It's maybe more important just to be aware. Especially to the Mother's/Father's whom raised such future leaders.
