Old Moose?

I just got my notice from WYO G&F on the age of the moose I shot last fall...11. That seems old to me. I know this, he chews old.

Thats a really old moose especially in the area you hunted. Lots of predetors in them parts.

Thats a horse cowboy, he looks awesome. I wouldn't care to eat the whole thing though.

That's an awesome Shiras bull! Looks like a lot of moose burger to me. Of course, as old as he is, even the burger meat might be tough.

Here are some answers to your questions:

The spread was just a hair under 48".

I really dont know what he scored. I might try measuring him when he comes back from the taxidermist, but I think his paddles arent big enough to go high on points.

I waited 12 years to finally get a moose tag.
