Well, my first attempt, I thought was too early, resulting in one small "whitey" forked horn. Today sure surprised me, though. I went to a spot where I'd seen a few nice bucks in November, hoping to find maybe a couple of last year's sheds. I was discouraged to see two nice 4pt. sets still atop their owners and going away fast!!...I'm thinking way too early still, but I might find some from last year...well, I found several nice "whiteys" and a big three point "brownie"... Then, to top off a great day,and less than 100 yds. from my truck, and almost exactly where I'd started... a nice matched "brownie" set!

...and I think they might have belonged to one of these two!

Man, thinking on going to hit the hills this weekend since all of the deer are mostly shed or they are dropping like crazy!

Yeah...that was puzzling! I thought I'd found matches when I discovered they were mostly left sides. I plan to go back and try and match 'em up! :) Sure was sweet to find the nice set right next to each other!

What a great day Pete. Nice sheds and those are a couple of nice bucks that you had scoped out. Love seeing your pictures and reading your stories. Have you seen any sheep yet this year????? fatrooster.

Banty: Naw, I haven't seen her for a couple of years...she's probably still pretty lonesome, though! (for those who read this post and might not know...she is waiting in a secret spot! ;-) )

Gave it a few days rest...went out again to the same locale...more "whiteys" and not one matched set...one nice buck still packin'...
