I know they have a jillion different products and clothing for this, but I was wondering if anybody thinks that trying to stay "odor free" is even possible when camping out for a week at time. I may purchase some odor free hygene products, but other than that, just watch the wind. Anybody out there true believers in the Scent-Lok clothing and such?

just keep the wind in your face. thats what i do and most of the time it never fails.

On a multi day hunt, there is not a whole lot you can do since you will get funky. Wash periodically with some scentless soap, use unscented deodorant, and try to change as often as possible into fresh clothes washed in scentless detergent. Those body wipes they make are good in a pinch and I like to keep my clean clothes in a separate bag until I need them. Some folks like to put some sage and/or pine needles in the bag too. Do what you can, sure, but at the end of the day you still need to stalk into the wind. No way around it.

not hardly.
every item out there is buull shiiiit,
there is a know substance that can get rid of your stink Except fire.
Best thing you can do if your truly concerned about your stink is mask it with the smells of the woods.
don't piss on your self and then walk around.
don't be standing up wind and blow out a canister of gas and expect the cridders not to run.
they smell preditor, the meat your eating.
try going vegeterion for the week before your hunt.

Staying down wind isn't always possible. When I hunt I always hunt with the wind in my face but sometimes swirling winds can make that impossible. This last season for example I got in on three seperate groups of elk, one group having a very big 6 pt in it. All three times I had the wind in my face and within seconds of having a shot the wind changes 180 degrees. There's nothing you can do about that. So that's why this year I'm trying the Scent Lok clothing and handwipes and scent killer spray to spray all my gear down. Sure it's not fool proof but it may give me some extra time to get a shot off.

I agree with OregonBowhunter on this one. I use the scent free soaps, deoderants, etc. and try to change as often as possible. The way I see it, is it can't hurt and hopefully it will give that few precious seconds to get a good shot off. But of course try your best to keep the wind in your face.
