Here is a bull I stumbled on (almost literally) a couple of months ago. As I came out of a patch of pinion juniper trees onto a small sage flat I noticed a large white thing protruding out of the sage. It looked out of place so I pointed my binos at them & instantly knew what it was. I ran over there to find a year old 6x6 elk antler. I seached for the other side with no luck. I even went back a couple weeks later but, still no luck.
About 250-300 yards beyond the big year old single I found the best find I have ever come across. A brown set of 6x6 elk sheds just a few yards from a 2 track road. The 2 sheds were only 5 feet apart.
I didn't realize it until later the year old single belonged to this same bull.
With about a 40-42" inside spread & 50" main beams this bull will gross around 363."
